I Am A Racist, And So Can You

Racist Cover

What image pops into your head when you think of racists? Do you think of cops with water hoses and rottweilers, or scary guys in white robes with burning crosses?

What if I were to tell you racists can look like normal, everyday people... perhaps even the person who wrote these words you’re reading right now...

So I debuted this little comic at MoCCAFest 2012, and thankfully I wasn’t punched in the face by anyone. Hopefully you’ll enjoy this examination of the history of racism in the United States, by way of one Asian-American comic book artist’s worst impulses...

You can read the entire comic for free on this site by clicking here, or you can download the PDF or CBR files for offline reading below. Enjoy!

(The artist in no way, shape, or form endorses violence or prejudice against anyone... except maybe for bad comic book artists.)

So I’ve been away for a while. Reenergizing, recreating, and just plain sleeping. But I haven’t disappeared, really! MoCCA is next month, and I should have a new short comic ready for MoCCA soon. And in celebration of the new HD iPad, enjoy my last comic, Freedman, in glorious HD resolution for the iPad, absolutely for free.

Hanuman

hanuman

A study I did for Hanuman, the Monkey King, back when I was going to do a comic mash-up of Chinese mythology and New York City. Not sure what I was huffing…

I’ll be spending the rest of this week in DC dealing with family issues, so I’m not sure when or what I’ll post next week. But I should have something eventually...
